SO. Dad pointed out this weekend that we need time for the floor to cure. I talked to our floor guy, who promises that we will have plenty of time for the floor to cure, provided that everything goes exactly to schedule.
This means we MUST have all flooring out of our new casa by Monday morning...
What does this mean? It means that all 2,369 square feet (sans 2 small bathrooms) needs to have carpet and padding (or 2 layers of vinyl) AND particle board removed. Including particle board nailed down underneath baseboards.
Our plan? Systematically rip out the carpet, then the tack strips, then the nails, then the particle boards... then chisel out remaining particle board stuck under the baseboards. Making sense? Yeah, me neither. Oh, and did I mention we also have cabinets and an old stove to remove and a ceiling to fix, too?
Bottom line: who wants to visit us at our new house this weekend with a chisel and hammer?
