And my little love-bear that my Grammy made ages ago :) So, she majorly surprised us, and we were left with a large TV that we could move into hubby's office... except that there was already a TV there in an armoire. So, we did what we do best on a Friday night; we started moving stuff.
First, you will see that the chairs have been moved again, and "Grandma's chair" has once-again returned. The room feels a lot cozier now, and not so huge and bowling-alley-ish.
And, this new arrangement also allows room to easily access the bookcase storage! Yippee!
So, the old (big) TV went to the office. The armoire didn't fit the TV, so we had to do a switcher-roo. First, we have to show off the new duvet cover and shams - the crummy light doesn't do it justice. Mom and Dad gave it to us (along with a new comforter!) for Christmas, but I had to exchange the pillow shams, which just arrived yesterday!
The paisley pattern has the exact color of the walls in it. It was absolutely meant to be.
And, the armoire from the front room made its way into the bedroom. Yes, I finally gave in to a TV in the bedroom. However, this has been a plus; on the weekends, I now can just fall asleep in my bed while attempting to stay up and watch TV with hubby instead of drooling on the couch until he nudges me awake to stumble to bed!
We love our thoughtful gifts from our parents, but more importantly, we loved the time we got to spend with them over Christmas. We are so blessed to not only both have wonderful parents, not only both have great in-laws we enjoy being with, but also to have parents who enjoy spending time together with us! I promise to post updates on what we've been spending our weekends doing soon... but in the meantime, I still have laundry waiting on me!
